For all they cost, you may as well replace the whole caliper:

Thumbs Up

FWIW, I had a sticky caliper on the back of my D3. Stripped it, cleaned and freed everything off. Seized up again a few months later Rolling Eyes

I had a seized nearside rear the same as you, took it off thinking I'd be able to unstick it but nah she was to far gone, save the the heartache and get a new one. 2007 RRS 2.7 HSE - Java Black

Are the calipers the same across the range or is there a difference between the models?

Siezed Drivers side rear! Grrrrrr!

Oh, and this may sound daft, but is the drivers side rear classed as left or right? Id say right... but that means Censored

Yes, the UK driver's side is "right". They name the sides as if sitting in the car looking forward. 2012 SDV6 - it's missing a couple of cylinders
2008 TDV8 - it was a labour of love and is much missed

The rear is sticking quite bad and I can't get the car into the garage til next week. The brake pad is smoking now because of the heat. Should I avoid driving or will it be ok? I'm guessing the pad will be screwed by the time the caliper is replaced? 2006 HSE for Sale - £7,499 (Manchester)
