aldomaximillian, if you think your Torque Converter is on its way out is it not better to put your money to that?
They're about the £800 mark aren't they?

Nsp1 - I was thinking of getting the oil changed first and seeing how the car behaves. Either way, if its still juddering then ill take the plunge on the torque converter. The £800 price, is that from land rover?

Eventually bit the bullet and went to Quattro auto care in York even though it was a 180 mile round trip,,,, made a short break of it ,,,, cost me more in the outlet shopping centre !!.

watched the whole process getting done, the oil in mine was not too bad so the guy said, apparently had seen a lot worse but better off getting it done before it turns to treacle. got some Dr tranny squirted in as well and gearbox reset.

Nice to hear from someone who's been to the place and had it done a lot more reassuring than just turning up and hoping for the best! How long did the flush take and can they do it straight away or do they have to wait for the gearbox oil to cool off first?
