Yes, I have this problem and it seems to have gotten worse over the past couple of weeks. The heated seat sub screen takes an age to come up and the sat nav didn't want to know on a recent trip to that London Town
I am assuming its a software glitch and will report to dealer in due course, but sounds like another land rover 'character trait' Rolling Eyes Stu

Touch screen technology doesn't like very cold weather - any chance this might be your issue?

Could be Neutral
Screen "initialising" seems to be the delay rather than responding to touch, but maybe will see when the weather gets a bit warmer Whistle Stu

Blimey, Chrisr1806, you've got the identical spec to my car - right down to the mudflaps! Now, sorry to all to bang on about this - what about accelerator lag. Can you pull away fairly rapidly or does your car hang for a few seconds and then take off like a scalded cat?
A few posts ago, driving like Miss Daisy was mentioned as a cause of the lag. I don't think so but in any case I'm not going to drive like a madman just so I can pull out on the main road without lag. I've had the car work properly and I think it was when the eco stop/start started the car when the lights turned green and it took off like any other car. Anyway, it's booked in to LR for cure or sale.
I kind of resent getting an SVR just to solve one problem but the the Sport is fabulous in every other respect.

Mine has been slow in the cold mornings, but OK otherwise. Get a 2005-2009 RRS (FAH500210) sat nav/dash mat here - the one that wasn't there when you bought the car.

Spiffing wheel centre caps available

IMO the situation is that the touch screen, audio, nav, heated seats etc is driven by a pretty slow hard drive now...and hard drives don't boot up that quickly in cold weather. In D3s/ prior RRS models these items were just on/off not booted by a drive.

But it is a bit crazy that unless one has timed heating, you have to get in the car, start it up, wait maybe a good minute or so before the screen materialises, and then finally hit the seat heat button, and then at the very least, 5 mins later some warmth emanates. It's an archaic system. I have another RRS due early April, but I would be quite disappointed if this lag still occurs.

I'm surprised to hear the "firmware" is on a HDD too. If so, it wouldn't be too difficult to swap it for a SSD.

The seat heat lag with the Climate seats is a pain. The normal electrical heated ones should come on quicker. The climate ones use air from the AirCon as you all know, but that as PeanutBob says takes a while to heat up.

Even with the Timed heating on the seats are still very cold to sit on for the first 5 mins of driving.

Didn't realise that the Climate Seats were heated by the air either. It's a good job they aren't available on the SVR then.

You lot should have opted for the parked car heating (fuel burning heater option). The standard timed climate is not powerful enough for a cold morning. Regards

Malcolm

The infotainment system is getting beyond a joke as far as I'm concerned in this cold weather. My wife asked my why I'd spent so much money buying such a rubbish car whilst we were waiting for the Nav and Heated Screens to crank themselves into operation this morning. My old L322 FFRR was never as bad as this and it's not acceptable in any modern car let alone one costing this much

Access to my parking is via a car lift.... My old RRS would just about fit... the new L494 doesn't

so my car now lives outside....

Temps are LOW here at night and everything is a joke in the morning....

Info takes for ever, seats are slow to warm and the windscreen isn't as good as my old RRS....and the heated steering wheel

is patchy.

As Malcolm said... I should have bought the parked heat...but it's still no excuse LR Evil or Very Mad 2014.5 SDV6 AB Dynamic ... Fuji /Santorini Pan roof and 22's

You might have thought these issues would be been recognised in cold weather testing, and then addressed. Maybe all the test vehicles were fitted with FBHs and timed remotes so they were all nice and toasty before the drivers got in!
