Hi guys and girls, just want to know if anyone got any info or experience of changing air con condenser on 2006/7 diesel 2.7 RRS, i would like to change it myself due to mad quotes of over £400, the condenser i can buy for £150 and £40 for re- gas, how big a job is it and time factor,

Mine is a 2005 supercharged but the principle is pretty much the same I should think. I didn't do the change myself but this is how it looked just before the rad was removed

According to the guy doing it it was a bit of a Censored getting it to that stage as a few of the bolts had rusted in place.

Not sure why the image isn't showing, if you click on it it will display.

Fair play mate I would have loved to have done it myself but I don't have the tools and facilities.

It's well worth doing though, on full whack mine can get the interior temperature down to 4 degrees!

TDV6 RRS will be fairly similar to a D3:

Did the condenser on my RRS supercharged yesterday, I used to be a mechanic so know my way around a car and it is quite a bit of work. Took around four hours. Quite fiddly just depends how much experience you have with taking cars to bits I guess?

Unlike Disco-mikey I left the front slam panel on, I can image that taking it off made it a lot easier and maybe I should have done the same. Always been a little lazy with taking things off though so I would rather struggle round things. Stupid, yes I know Rolling Eyes

air con dryer

Hi guys , do you know if the dryer is part of the air con condenser on 2007 2.7 model, or is it a separate part, if so I will get one and change at same time,
