United Kingdom 2010 Range Rover Sport Supercharged HSE Santorini Black

Have to wonder why they bother with the S/C V6.

Only 1bhp more, a huge chunk less torque, less economical, higher emmisions...

All a bit ho-hum isn't it and so much for the know-alls here who claimed the ancient infotainment system would be updated. Mark

Glad I didn't wait for the MY15! I'm more than happy with my MY14.5. The infotainment system is good, only a tad slow. Arrived: MY16 A/B SDV6 in Aruba, Ivory interior, piano black trim, black panoramic roof, spare wheel, blind spot monitoring, mudlaps and more... Twisted Evil

InControl Apps and InControl Wi-Fi are new Land Rover InControl technologies which debut on Range Rover and Range Rover Sport derivatives.
InControl Apps will launch in the UK, USA, France, Italy, Spain, Germany, Canada, Australia and New Zealand. InControl Apps allows owners to sync smartphone apps to the vehicle's touchscreen, and is compatible with Apple and Android smartphones

Using Apps is a pretty useful upgrade, use any nav app,etc 2023 P440e SE Dynamic on order -cancelled

If they work...

An earlier adopter of InControl on the Evoque had an LR engineer crawling over the car on his driveway to try to get them to work. Even now, it's constantly losing passwords and required him to log-in repeatedly.

Also seems he cannot upgrade to newer versions, not sure if that is free of charge or at all.

LR are still in the Dark Ages compared to Apple. Mark

The small S/C is for places that don't do diesel e.g. USA so that there is a cheaper engine option to the 5.0S/C as far as I can see. 2012 SDV6 - it's missing a couple of cylinders
2008 TDV8 - it was a labour of love and is much missed

What an incredibly underwhelming update. To think I nearly delayed my order to get incontrol and in the hope for a better infotainment system. Would have been a long wait 2010 997 Carrera S

Well I did delay my order in expectation of an upgraded infotainment system. Seems I've waited for nothing

It seems the InControl route is the way things are going. I understand InControl comes as standard with MY2015. The Music feature of InControl looks to improve the iPod connectivity experience. See the video from the NY motor show.

Touchscreen sensitivity still looks average....

I can live without this if " in control" is the bulk of what the 2015 has to offer...

Of course there will be a 2015.5

maybe that's when they will deal seriously with the infotainment...

Make me laugh ... ironically of course....when I pill up next to a Peugeot 208 with its plasma sized infotainment screens... 2014.5 SDV6 AB Dynamic ... Fuji /Santorini Pan roof and 22's

It's a bit of a jumbled offering. Whilst InControl adds better music access and sat nav, the original MyMusic and Nav is there too. Plus JLR have signed up to CarPlay so no idea how that will fit.
