While it will never be a TDV8, you can get good power out of the 2.7 TDV6

173bhp and 313LbFt at the wheels, rough calculations make that around 250-260bhp at the flywheel, which isn't far off a TDV8 Whistle

Wasn't particularly cheap to get to that sort of power, but makes a TDV6 much more appealing

And will still do 30+ mpg

But it's still just not a TDV8. They can be mapped to 320bhp, and the exhaust note is Cool Twisted Evil

V8 and take the back silences off like I've just done.

Sounds mint.

Fuel economy is ok but depends what you have had before it.
