Well it turns out that an old mate bought the car from BCA in Enfield and it still has the rattle in the engine so It was never fixed just punted into the trade. Thing that does disturb me is that Guy Dalmon had re registered the owner details, so I was still the owner but with a c/o Guy Dalmon Bristol dealership address. Why on earth would they do this? My Fullfat is the same so are they blogging this as dealer cars which is what mate thought or is it deliberate attempt to deceive? 2x TDV6. SE and HSE. Both returned to sender with issues👀

What an awful thought that someone may register on this site full of excitement after buying their new RRS (we've all been there)................. and then discover its history! Shocked

I can only imagine the feeling that would rip through his stomach. Big Cry

Dealer should have done the decent thing & sold for parts!!!

On a positive note though Si, aren't you glad I told you to wait until you had the car back before ordering a set of lights off me? Laughing For some reason I just had a bad feeling about you buying them whilst car was still in dealers. Thumbs Up

This car is now fixed. As you know, and purely by chance, a mate of mine bought it from BCA as an assured car (guaranteed) with no known faults.
It turns out the rattle was a lose torque converter, three of the six bolts were done up and the other three had torque seal on them but not tightened. So now fitted with new converter, back plate and bolts, all properly done up and the car is in rude health. Mate is that impressed with it He thinks he is going to hold on to it and drive it for a while. 2x TDV6. SE and HSE. Both returned to sender with issues👀

Ouch - if they had done a proper job you would still have it instead of the barge and a big hole in your bank balance - hope you've told him not to come over in it - that would be really cruel Sad Wanted a Series 2 LR since childhood but previously owned MY16 Disco Sport HSE TD4 Auto, MY13 RR Sport Black Edition TDV6 Auto, MY10 RR Sport HSE TDV6 Auto, 2007 Freelander 1 Freestyle TD4 Soft Top, 2009 Freelander 2 GS TD4 Auto, 2007 Freelander 2 GS TD4, 2004 Disco 2 Metropolis Auto, 2002 Disco 2 GS, 2000 Freelander 1 SE TD4 SW
