Hardwiring Blackvue Power Saver

Ok - here are my hardwired photos Thumbs Up

First drop glovebox pressing down on side catches as you pull - takes a bit of effort to push down catches Rolling Eyes

You can see plug is left in glovebox for easy disconnecting when parked in garage Thumbs Up

You can now get access to fuses to fit piggybacks Bow down

I used 52 - cigar lighter for switched feed and 48 - trailer battery supply for permanent feed Very Happy

UPDATE -Some dashcam manufacturers changed wire colours from MAY 2016 so check the label/instructions as they now vary

Hi muddy, just a quick question, when hard wiring your camera into the fuse box, did numbers 48 & 52 already have a fuse in place? Reason i ask is because mine has and i don't want to take them out only to find ive disconnected something and then find something isnt working. Big Cry I find it strange that if they are spare ports then why have they got fuses in Question Confused
Many thanks in advance

Might be wrong on this Ady but think you take the fuse out. plug in the piggyback and then put the fuse into that, and then connect the wire to the powermagic wires sure somebody will correct me Thumbs Up Now gone Orkney grey SDV6 HSE with body style kit contrast stitch ebony leather, privacy, black piano, 22" Lowenharts for summer, 20" with Leon LTZ for winter.

Yes thats correct, thanks Ruddy, but ive found you need to put two fuses into the piggyback for it to work properly Confused never known that before on a piggyback, did you have to do the same Muddy? I thought the piggyback was faulty.

Ive come to the conclusion that the power magic must be faulty Crying or Very sad My camera won't power up with this installed, so ive taken the power magic out and powered it up to a battery direct and it won't power up, it only flickers. Confused

Piggy backs are down at the post office because nobody here to sign for them Evil or Very Mad hopefully get them in the morning and have a go. Maybe stating the obvious here but have you formatted the SD card Question had to do mine as the footage kept missing sections out. Going to check it again tonight. Now gone Orkney grey SDV6 HSE with body style kit contrast stitch ebony leather, privacy, black piano, 22" Lowenharts for summer, 20" with Leon LTZ for winter.
