20" on winter?

Hi

Looking for some new winter alloys to conquer the norwegian winter:) . Are 20" to big??

Studded or non-studded winter tyres?

Best size? 275/40/20? RRS 2006 2.7 HSE

I drove to the Alps last year on 275 40 20 AT Grabbers, amazing tyres never once struggled.

I think you can also get them with a 45 profile which may be more fitting for a Norwegian winter?

Anyway depressing subject ... we haven't even had summer yet Big Cry

I've got 20" wheels with Vredestein Wintrac Extremes on them and they are superb Thumbs Up

That said, I suspect 19"s would be even better due to the higher profile on the tyre, but, if you've
already got 20"s then, as I said, mine work well with the Vredesteins.

Don't know about the studded tyres, haven't had the need to go that extreme. 2013 Discovery HSE Luxury - 3.0 SDV6 - Santorini Black

I didn't realise Federal make winter tyres? Are they not just all season tyres?

That profile would make you speedo inaccurate, wouldn't bother me but some people don't like that.

If you don't mind me asking whats the great deal?

Got alot of PM's about Alloys for sale so I will let everyone on the Norwegian LR Forum about your deals.

Should be easy to sell Smile

But does someone here knows if the original 2010 Sport alloys will fit my 2006 HSE?

It would but i'm going off L/R recommendation and approved size, i don't want my warranty to be void for fitting the wrong size of tyre Laughing Whistle
