Suspension dropped over night and squeaking front suspension

Hi

I have searched for a thread with the answer to this problem, but could not find anything?

I parked the car in driving height and when I came out the next morning the right back corner was dropped to access height, the three other corners were still in driving height.

When I started the car and drove off the car leveled it self. When parking after driving the car is level, but it will keep dropping right back corner when left over night.

Furthermore I have noticed squeaking from the front suspension when driving over speed bumps etc. The squeaking does not appear to be constant, i.e. this morning there were no squeaking driving over bumps that produced squeaking yesterday afternoon.

Hi Muddywheels - did see that post, but in my case the suspension is all level when engine is on and when driving, no warning on dash or anything.

This morning I had the 4x4 screen on when I put in the key and it showed that right rear was lower and a little red bar was blinking - any idea what the red blinking bar means?

Turned the engine on and the suspension leveled it self. RRS TDV8 HSE in Stornoway Grey/Alpaca/Rhodium/Multimedia/Privacy Glass

Possibly a sensor fault Question

I had the exact same project. I had Brown Church change the offending's side height sensor (back near side) but it made no difference. I then took it back in and they re-set everything and its been fine since.

Do you ever get the red flashing light come up for any of the front wheels? (front near side for example?)

Since having the system re-set about 4 weeks ago I've not come out to find the back dipped in one corner.

Hi Jon

I have noticed that when the car is left alone for more than a day, the front in the same side will also drop, and when left for approx 2 days it seams that the other corners will also drop some.

When turning the key without starting the engine, I can see, when the car is left for more than a day, that the red bars
will also blink for the front.

Do you think it is a simple thing as just resetting it?

No, I take all what I said back. I went out to the car this morning and the back near side was down......

Damn it.

Ok - sorry to hear that

I have booked a inspection from the doctor for the car on monday. They suspect leaking airbag or in some of the plastic piping? Or maybe a valve ...

Let me hear how you get on with it RRS TDV8 HSE in Stornoway Grey/Alpaca/Rhodium/Multimedia/Privacy Glass

When I got mine inspected there were no air leaks and the error log was blank, really odd (although they changed the senor, but it made no difference, I still had the problem).

The only thing I have read which appears to be the answer is that on the same side of the car, the front wheel has the flashing red light on the diagnostics screen when the car is in the lower suspension mood (in the morning when the rear end is dipped low just before I pull off the drive).

I read somewhere that this may be causing the problem albeit that the red flashing line is showing up on the front near side and its the rear near side that’s dipping low over night.

Let me know what your inspection comes back with.....

Jon

I missed out the bit that by changing the front near side senor someone else with the same problem managed to resolve their problem.....

Ok - the dealer just called and said it is a cross valve that needs to be changed - that will be £600 ... RRS TDV8 HSE in Stornoway Grey/Alpaca/Rhodium/Multimedia/Privacy Glass
