Wheels that will fit?

Bought a set of 19" FFRR wheels for SWMBO's RRS but seems they won't fit over the calipers Big Cry . So now I need another set but don't want to make the same mistake again. Can anyone tell me for certain if these will fit?

http://www.disco3.co.uk/forum/post871940.html#871940

I know they are RRS wheels but not sure if there are different fitments - chap at the tyre depot suggested there was more than one type of caliper fitted Confused .

It's an 06 plate TDV6 HSE, currently on 20" wheels.

I have wheels that appear to be the same as those on my TDV8 so they should fit over the calipers on yours just fine. 2012 SDV6 - it's missing a couple of cylinders
2008 TDV8 - it was a labour of love and is much missed

Thanks RRSTDV8, that's good news. Presumably the V8 would have bigger calipers if anything Question

19's or 20's, just make sure that they are 9.5J and they'll fit over Brembos no problem Thumbs Up 10 RRS HSE TDV8 --- No complaints so far
57 RRS HSE TDV8 --- Great Car. Heated Windscreen & Brake Module both replaced under warranty.
10 months great driving, before I couldn't do without the new interior

Thanks folks, how do I tell if they are 9.5J? Is it cast onto the spokes?

9.5j bit wont make any difference if the offset isnt correct ...... offset of ET as its stamped on the wheel should be on the back of the wheel. RRS and FFRR have different offsets if i remember correctly but i would have thought that the ET of the FFRR would be higher than that of the sport.

I assume its the inside spoke that fouling the caliper??? Make sure it is actually fouling as it does sit pretty close

They look the same wheel I have fitted for winter - they are also 50 profile as required - discos usually have 55 Thumbs Up

RRS has 53mm offset - FFRR is 57mm but you can use spacers I believe but this may affect insurance as it is a modification Question Wanted a Series 2 LR since childhood but previously owned MY16 Disco Sport HSE TD4 Auto, MY13 RR Sport Black Edition TDV6 Auto, MY10 RR Sport HSE TDV6 Auto, 2007 Freelander 1 Freestyle TD4 Soft Top, 2009 Freelander 2 GS TD4 Auto, 2007 Freelander 2 GS TD4, 2004 Disco 2 Metropolis Auto, 2002 Disco 2 GS, 2000 Freelander 1 SE TD4 SW

Definitely foul, they showed me whilst it was on the ramp and it wasn't possible to push the wheel back into contact with the hub.

Sorry for being thick, what is ET? Mr. Green And how do you measure (or can you measure) the offset?

ET is the distance in mm from the mounting face to the centre of the wheel
this picture will kinda help to explain

As suggested spacers will help resolve the issue , or just buy the right wheels.

Thanks for the explanation Confused . So basically I'm looking for 53 stamped on the casting somewhere. I guess I can check the FFRR ones I already have to see if they have 57 stamped on them.

I'm pretty confident the ones I'm considering are original RRS wheels and at least 3 people seem to have them fitted okay, just a bit concerned by the suggestion there may be more than one type of caliper fitment and sod's law says I will have the 'wrong' one.

Am building quite a collection of wheels now Exclamation

ON the founting face ull see ET listed

I think the only calipers are Brembos and non brembos as far as im aware.

If the FFRR is 57 then that a 4mm higher than the RRS ET so it doesnt make sense that they dont fit. U sure they are genuine wheels?

IF the offset is 57mm for the FFRR then that would say that the center of the rim would go "in" 4mm more? In difference to RRS with 53mm not going "in" as much... and then if rim is curved then those 4mm could make calipers touch rim???

I have no clue... Just learning... and waiting on a message that some Scorpion tyres have M+S on them... Thumbs Up RRS 2010 TDV6 HSE Santorini Black
