2012 - dearly departed, sadly missed.. to return in late 2013 with a new TDV8!

Perhaps there's a difference in the specs - I bought mine here in Belgium - it was delivered last week.

Im prepared to be flamed for being a newbie and not fully understanding this...

I have a my11 tdv6 hse lux. i don't have a remote to control any function other than unlocking the doors. will my car have afuel burning heater? its mentioned in this thread to have the timed climate enabled somehow and then you can buy extras to enable a remote function for this.

Would someone please be able to post up to a newbie exactly how this is achieved? i have used items such as vag-com before if this is similar, i also understand i may be enabling an option i didn't pay for so understand if this has to be done by pm. thanks in advance  RRS 3.0D HSE 11MY - Fuji White, a few extras.

You do have the hardware on your car you just need to activate it
Land rover will not be able to help you on this issue but a independant garage with the correct diagnostic tools will.
You will need to activate Timed Climate this will appear on your home screen and you will be able to set the FBH Fuel Burning Heater to come on and warm your car for you at the time you have set.
Once this has been done you can install a remote option

Anybody know of any independents that would be able to enable this and supply/fit the remote parts for me for a reasonable fee that are near myself - Chesterfield? RRS 3.0D HSE 11MY - Fuji White, a few extras.

If you find somebody to activate your timed climate the chances are they will be able to install a remote for you aswell

Indeed. If the heater is in there anyway and the only change to activate this on the diesel is a software config to put the timed option on the screen, it seems ridiculous to charge £700 for this. The aditional parts for the remote control maybe justifies some further cost, but another £500 - are they taking the proverbial?

I have now sourced my first part - the remote. A lovely Land Rover branded T91 remote from ebay for £25.

Just the Receiver, Antenna and a friendly local who has the necessary software tool to find now....  RRS 3.0D HSE 11MY - Fuji White, a few extras.

Hi All
I just installed the remote option on my RRS
This will work for MY10 onwards ONLY
First of all remove the rubber trim on the boot and also on the drivers side rear door to enable the interior rear quarter panel to be removed


The receiver fits in the yellow circle marked below

Look out for the plug this will go into the receiver

You will also need to remove the shroud around the rear seat belt but its dead easy this will give you good access to behind the roof lining
The antenna just plugs in to the receiver and runs up and sticks to the roof,it has double sided sticky tape on it.

it should now look like this

Once you have put it all back together you will need to pair the remotes
Unplug fuse number "2" in the engine compartment (Brown fuse 5amp) far back right hand side for 5 seconds


Within 5 seconds of plugging the fuse back in press the OFF button for 1 second
If you already have "TIMED CLIMATE" you will probably need to get the "PARK HEAT REMOTE" activated
If you have nothing at all at the moment then you can activate them both at the same time
