With the news of Foxys illness and her contacts at coniston I thought i would ask what you all would like to do?

Either wait on Foxy getting better, so she can still come along, when ever that maybe?

Or to arrange something direct with them ourselves?

I'm not sure what she could have arranged as she knows the owner, wether it would have been a better deal or some little variation on what they offer to Joe public, personally I would have liked Foxy to be there so I am willing to hang on a while and see how things pan out, after all there's always next year and she might have got her car sorted out and fixed by then too Thumbs Up

If Foxy knows the owner lets hang on and so we'll do it whenever..........I'm off to oz a week on Friday and have just moved house this weekend so am mad busy myself Thumbs Up

Slightly off topic gang, but does anyone know a place I could take my son and a few of his friends on a clay shooting day?

Most of them are just sixteen, but with loads of marksman experience through the army cadets. My son has recently won the best overall marksman in the ACF and Combined at a shooting competition at Altcar range, where cadet teams from all over Britain attended.

Any advice would be welcome.

I could turn out. It's about 3 hours for me (from Banbury area) up to Coniston (assuming I'm looking at the right Coniston).

Been shooting for 18 months. Need a "beginner+" option on the list for me Laughing 2012 SDV6 - it's missing a couple of cylinders
2008 TDV8 - it was a labour of love and is much missed

I got the right Coniston then. 3+/- hours on a good day.

I'm a regular beater, have been doing that for about 8 years now. About 18 months ago I started shooting again (used to as a lad but that was target stuff with rifles in the CCF) and last season shot at two beaters' days. Not very succesfully. Embarassed

Had a better time with pigeons the last couple of times out though. Thumbs Up

Have some mixed days with clays. And some very mixed days! Big Cry Whistle Rolling with laughter

But up for a laugh. I might even be able to persuade a Volvo driver to come along. He takes the mickey out of my RRS and he drives a Volvo. Shoots a little better than me though.

However, it's all a bit reliant on dates...

For those that are interested, I just use a Browning 525 Sporter. 2012 SDV6 - it's missing a couple of cylinders

My dad shoots a 525 too, I opted for a Beretta 686 silver Pig 1

Need to get out more though, and look at getting a permission to bag some pigeons for me pies Laughing

I've got permission from a local estate but haven't had much chance to do much. Rather annoying really... 2012 SDV6 - it's missing a couple of cylinders

A colleague of mine owns a shooting school at West Cowick not far from Selby and is also a RRS owner, i will point him to the thread, i am sure he will be interested in offering a comparitive package.
