Australia 2010 Range Rover Sport 3.0 TDV6 HSE Fuji White
MY2010

or is it now 2011, however doing the sums today on a new 3.0l TdV6 against my current MY06, it would be cheaper for me to run a new one on novated lease based upon the KM's i rack up. I refinanced mine to get the best return on the "tax offset" on the interest, but now seriously thinking of getting rid and a new Sport could be on the shopping list.. Whistle or maybe a Prado Wink

Depending on whether Singers is on the card, a new Sport may be making it's way to the Whitsundays to go with the new house in the next few months Another Pommie Bar Steward down under

Big Cry Laughing must admit the Prado Kakadu comes suitably and more impressively equipped than the Sport, front and rear DVD players etc for approx 12K cheaper than the base 3.0l sport... however being a dumb brit and my wife being wedded to Landies, i reckon its going to be another Sport ... so hopefully the membership to the Melbourne Curry club should be safe BK Thumbs Up Another Pommie Bar Steward down under

You wouldn't like the Prado, it drives like a truck and you would have to look at it every day.....it isn't a pretty thing. Get a new RR of some description and I think you will be making a good decision Thumbs Up

If you're going to be doing any sand driving, then the lack of power in the Prado diesel will disappoint. RRS wins hands down Cool

* Unreliable ( Shocked shock! horror! but it's a Toyota!! Yeah, right - just look at the Toyo forums)
* Looks too large, without the expected benefits such as internal room, towing capacity, usable power
* TC system is not as good as the LR's. Ditto suspension.
* Expensive when compared to a D4. Lexus is expensive compared to a RRS
* On-road behaviour is like a barn.

I'm sure I can think of more if you wish ..............

I thought it had the same 3.5 tonne tow capacity of the RRS and Disco.. (I know the prado doesn't get 3.5 tonnes)?

What are the common reliability issues, or can you post a link to the relevant forums pls do I can have a nosey?

Toyo dealer in Darwin had 17 LC200's with destroyed V8's (overheating), motors to be replaced, not repaired. Then there was the (still ongoing) issue with oil consumption. Leaky seals let dust in in rather copious amounts. Tailshaft recalls are still common.

Try the Toyota Owners Club forum (eg http://au.toyotaownersclub.com/forums/index.php?showtopic=28493 and many similar), or the Australian 4WD Action LC200 forums.

My mistake, the tow weights are the same. It's the carrying capacity that is smaller, especially if you have the KDSS system fitted. 2015 RRS SDV6 SE, Santorini Black, GOE 2-way HS rods, Traxide dual battery, 275/55R20 Nitto TerraGraplers
