Customer Relations came back and said they would pay 50% of the parts and labour cost - sounds ok to me, think it's ok??

Would think thats the best you will get, 50:50 means they have covered their costs and made you feel a little better. At least you will get 12months on it this time Exclamation

Personally would still get a blanking kit and fit (about £50 for full kit, think Bell Autos do one, but might only be for earlier models) and the jobs done for good and you have no worries with the other side going.

Try this:

http://www.disco3.co.uk/forum/topic31658.html

EGR basically re uses exhaust gases to be mixed with air and reburnt again.

The link provided should be specific to your year as their is a slight difference in pre 2007 models

Steurart64 has a point. I believe that in England it's 7 years and Scotland is 5. It's against manufacturing defect or design faults. I think you'd have a good chance of the EGR valve issue falling under one of those! 2013 Discovery HSE Luxury - 3.0 SDV6 - Santorini Black
