Not the usual knocking noise

Hi Guy's
I have a 2006 sport hse 67000 miles, I have a continuous light knocking noise from both front and rear of the car, even running over normal - slightly rough roads loaded or not the noise is always the same level. At first I thought it was maybe the shocker bushes ( same sound ) ?? Does my 06 car have body shockers as the later models do?? any ideas would be of great help. Confused

thanks
Wullie

This all point to the anti roll bar bushes having worn. Have you had these replaced with the modified part? Gone - 2008 TDV8, Stornoway Grey, ebony, zabrano trim, TV, Tasmods, mudflaps.

Thanks guys, do you know how much this TSB cost, I dont know what has been replaced on the car yet (bush wise) Ive not had time to look at it. Do you think this TSB would help on my RRS?

cheers

It is likely it will make a difference. If it doesnt make a difference then there is likely to be a worn component which the dealer could diagnose using bulletin LTB000204v4 if you can find a dealer thats any good. The bulletin is written in order of most likely causes. First up are the front lower control arm ball joints so you should start there.

In terms of the masses in the link, i can't see that these would be that expensive, mine were done on warranty so i didnt get to see the bill, but they are 1 casting and two nuts and bolts each side so not much too them

Not a CD, but you can sign up to LR Global Technical Reference, which covers most things.

No, any one can get it - you have to pay though of course!

There is a guy (bobby) on here who has posted them up before - might be worth a go. Trust me, i'm an Engineer!

Hi folks
Thats my knocking gone for now, I fitted the anti-roll bar packers and bingo noise gone, per Tech Bulletin LBT00167. When the weathers a bit better I will fit the later bushes, but what a differance with just the packers fitted. Both top nuts on the anti-roll bar clamps were very hard to get into had to remove some surrounding parts to get into them, so with some sweary words now and then I got it without the landrover tooling. Thumbs Up

Cheers
Wullie
