Whilst travelling on the Motorway last night in fast lane. All engine revs died and car cut out.

Horrendous driving conditions. Just about managed to pull over to hard shoulder. 1.5 hr wait for RR assistance to recover car and take me home.

RR tech arrived this morning at 8.0 . 12 faults on ECU. Car been recovered to supplying dealer GS at Coventry.

Spent 55k on this 3 weeks ago and they want me to take a Freelander as a loan car.

Sorry to hear you broke down. My TDV6 ( 5 weeks old too) is with the dealer to look at Gearbox fault warning light and one misfire whilst on the motorway. Wonder if the misfire is related to your issue? Do you know what the fault codes are showing?

im glad i did'nt buy the cancelled order from CHPR, i'll wait 12-18 mths till they get all the problems sorted before i get one now.  Gone,,TDV8 arctic frost,black leather,colour coded handles,rear entertainment,sunroof.

it's good you managed to stop safely. Could have ended up a lot worse, did you lose power steering and brakes?

Sorry to hear your RRS problems - if it's any consolation this tends to happen to some on their new car and once fixed it's fixed for life. It's usually sticking EGR Valves. 2005 Zambezi TDV6 - Gone but not forgotten

Always the same problem with new engine and cars. I hope you forgive your RRS.

I had limited power to the steering and brakes.

The problem was whilst travelling in nose to tail traffic on a packed 3 lane motorway in horrendous driving conditions driving rain ect. The car went from a steady cruise to being restrected to not reving over 1k

So there I am with vehicles travelling all around me at the legal speed limit and I am restricted to 15 MPH within a instant. Very very scary.

I am about to file a incident report with the help of the police who attended last night.
