From a skim read of the manual I would take the following approach after reading manual:

Step 1: The manual states that you must ensure any connecting device has the required driver installed. Assume this driver CD came with the box and can be installed on a PC/Mac - I don't own a PS3 so that part may be challenging.

Step 2: Connect the LAN port, with a Cat5 cable, directly to your switch (dispatcher) - I would hope you you do not need a cross over cable but if you do it would have been provided in the box - this will now take the router out of the equation.

Step 3: Ensure cable modem is powered on and connected

Step 4: Start up one PC, with the driver installed, ensure TCP/IP is set to automatically receive an IP address - this is demonstrated within your manual - and see if you get Internet connectivity (i.e. surf), if so then check the speed of your band width and shout.

If you do not get connectivity then reconnect your router and send the spec of the router over.

my problem got solved with a Netgear WRN3500 router

i got this in every single room now !
