Mick,

you mentioned your Dealer pushed back when you advised them the car had the wrong wheels.

Are you able to elaborate further? Would be very intrigued to know how they would be able to pass the buck on something as obvious and basic as this?

If you haven't already decided on which wheels I think the 19' 15 spokes look very cool, and you would get a little better ride and kerb protection than the 20's.

Although the 20's do fill the arches much better. Thumbs Up

The biggest issue is when it comes to resale as everyone will expect it to have 20" wheels. Any franchised dealer would then have to factor in a set of four 20" wheels and tyres to return it to the spec that it should be!

Good point James, forgot that the reason was the wrong spec in the first place.

And don't be fobbed off with old stock alloys. They should match the year spec of the car. After all your inconvenience I'd be pushing for an upgrade on the wheels or throw the 19's in for winter use foc, as they are now valueless to the dealer having been used Idea TDV6 - gone

So....
1. They ordered the wrong wheels.
2. They unpacked the wrong wheels.
3. They tired the wrong wheels.
4. They mounted the wrong wheels.
5. They made the before accaptence check with the wrong wheels.
6. Then, even when you picked the car up, the sales rep did not care to notice the wrong wheels.

All of the people involved in these steps ( i think 5) did not notice?

And then you need to hear from a friendly form member that you got the 2005 wheels under your brand new 55K+ car..............
(i just got my first LR for 1 month ago and i realized inmideately the mistake when i saw the pictures)

That's sad man....that's sad....

They only look at the money, service is out the window.

Good luck, still a very nice ride!

Josh - I don't think the wheels will be useless to the dealer as they'll probably be used to smarten up a used car I'd guess.

Skywalker - The dealer wouldn't have fitted them, but they would have ticked the wrong box when ordering the vehicle, which is easily done. The network were asked to order the first batch of 2010my before specs were released so perhaps they assumed HSE would be on 19" as per 2009?

Probably an honest mistake....... At least the steering wheel is on the correct side! Whistle

James Thumbs Up
