Asim, my LR dealer just changed my cherry wood trim - the 2 "hockey sticks" along the edges of the central console. They had damaged one of these at the last service so replaced FOC, so afraid I don't know what it cost. But be careful you get a good match. The trims thay have put on are a significantly different colour now than the door inserts. Doesn't really bother me though, but sure the next owner will be upset by it. But as I will almost certainly trade in against a new model RRS at the same dealer, I guess that will be their problem... RRS TDv8 HSE Rimini

Smarticus,

Thanks. I am actually replacing the current interior color, with another (piano black). I will ask a local dealer for some quotes, and see what they come back with!

Will let the forum know how much it ended up costing me! RRS Supercharged!!!!

I wouldnt trust myself to DIY it! Much rather pay something reasonable, and get someone who knows what they are doing to do it! RRS Supercharged!!!!

Have you had a look in your local area Yellow pages or Thompson Directory under "car retrimmers" or "car upholsterers". Many LR dealers outsource retrimming of customer cars to local small businesses.
Their labour rates are often a fraction of the dealership's too and often they can get a discount on the parts that you cannot get which often means a lower part price too! 2020 Pangea Green 1st Edition D240 New Defender 110 is here and loving it

Asim, if you're vaguely in the western half of London or simply don't mind the trip - why not contact forum sponsor CHPR? I'm sure their service team would do it for you.

Contact their service manager, Paul King on 0208 992 2299 or paulking@charleshurstgroup.co.uk.

Guys,

Thanks for all your comments/advice...I called CHPR and a young lady quoted me over £800 for this work! Ouch...thats more expensive than Revere?! Hmmm I am beginning to go off the idea now! If Paul King of CHPR is reading....any chance of some flexibility on this quote Paul?..I think I will give him a call myself!

It's not a hard DIY job - might want to try a bodyshop, they usually charge less.
