Yes you need the disc back plates, they are cheap any easy to get from a LR dealer. I got mine in 24hrs from CHPR. You might also need the Brembo brake wear sensor easily bought on eBay or from a dealer. Then you should be good to go.

Kedz

Just had my brakes replaced by the stealer in Leeds however wasthinking that it would be good to have some of those nicve shiny red brembo's rather than dull grey -

Did you fit grey or red? Also - seems to me that the grey part is just a cover rather than anything functional...if so can you swap them?

You may not have the answer so may start a new topic if not.

Cheers

Mine are gloss black so they look a little more bling Wink

The grey part of the caliper that says Brembo on it is the main body of the cast caliper so is not a changeable part without swapping the entire caliper.

You could paint them with caliper paint and apply a new Brembo transfer but personally I would leave them well alone.

On the plus side though the braking power is an awesome improvement isn't it? Cool

Liking your gloss black idea but not going to mess with mine til they need replacing again - agree the braking is 2nd to none.

thanks for the response.

Just looked at the spec of your car for the first time and I'm a bit confused

I though TDV8's only came with Brembos as standard???

Yep - it has but they are the grey ones with black writing and I want RED!!!

I was thinking you could just change the outer shell as I have just had all brakes replaced but it doesn't look like they have changed the grey painted part..... Jaguar XKR Convertible

Nope they are not compatible with the RRS and there are several different types for the the L322.

also i heard if you upgrade from standard TDV6 calipers to TDV8 brembos, you need to change the hubs too. is this true? WINNER - 2009 Best in Class Range Rover Sport Award
