Pics Please

Hi all,

I am trading in my D3 HSE for a RRS HSE. I need to finalise the order tomorrow morning. In terms of colour, does anyone have any pics of a Bonatti car with standard 19inch HSE rims??

Mrs T and I are almost decided however we wanted to see some photo's (we are on the fence between Bonatti and Cairns)

Cheers,

Bonatti's a really nice colour - works very well on the RRS. I think if I had had the choice, I would've chosen it for mine.

RRUK picture archive to the rescue again.

Good pics but what do you do wait at the Solihull gates and photograph every new RRS that comes out? javascript:emoticon('Shocked')

Only kidding, glad you have such a collection. When I ordered there were none around to gauge colours so your pictures must be helpful to plenty of people. 11 XFR

Cheers Matt,

It was actualy your pics that got us onto Bonatti. I wanted to see what the HSE rims looked like on Bonatti in the flesh (thanks to RRUK) We were thinking of the Dynamic Pack but have decided against it as ours will be going off road.....

I spent many days visiting local dealers while mine was on order so I got to see lots of cars, I took copious numbers of pictures.

Laughing The question is 'will you be back'!!!!!

Thought the 3rd picture above (nose on shot) looks the business. Confirming the spec this morning as:

Bonatti with Ivory Leather,
Logic 7 (still miffed you have to stump up 1K on the RRS for this - it is standard on the D3)

I don't have Logic7 on mine so can't speak from experience but it seems that the RRS implementation isn't all that. Search here for some posts on why Logic7 might not be worth the extra grand.

I think it does make a difference - not when stationary though. You don't appreciate it until you get moving.

At medium speed you need to have the basic HK unit up quite high to get any decent level of bass response (not boy racer thump, thump, but just decent depth to the sound) whereas the Logic 7 unit can be on a relatively low volume setting with the same response.

The main benefit is not necessarily in the surround sound (that realy comes down to a personal taste issue), the benefit comes from the active Sub in the tailgate - the passive unit on the standard HK doesn't have the guts to compete with road / wind noise at reasonable speeds until you crank it right up......the standard unit is perfectly fine in my opinion - I just like my music!!!!

Just got back from Switzerland in the D3 (with Logic 7), we had a laptop resting between the front seats on the open central cubby box lid - laptop facing backwards using the open lid as a table, plugged it into the AUX input and added a car charger adapter to the power cable running into the rear 12v supply. I then installed two DJ's (otherwise known as 'the wife' and a 'friend') who performed all necessary track surfing for the 12 hour trip!!! 50Gb worth of music at our fingertips without having to change one CD!!!

When you run Windows Media Player with high bit rate songs off the AUX input the sound quality through the Logic 7 system is stunning - the laptop is configured for 7.1 channel surround which the Logic 7 unit can decode resulting in vocals out of the front speakers, backing singers and majority of music out of second row speakers and then ambient noise such as audiences etc out of the boot speakers........truly stunning sound. Currently: Carbon Black 535d
