Options for a Vic/NSW Meet

To all our resident Australian (mostly pommie like moi) members, including the quiet ones WD and Ivery, anyone up for maybe a meet or event in the future..

We need to consider options if people are travelling, maybe to include some off-roading, maybe an overnight stay somewhere with a local tour, we could include a wine region and make a longer weekend of it.. Suggest for the latter it is a neutral venue half way between Melbourne and Sydney --ish Another Pommie Bar Steward down under

I'm a member of the RRC of NSW, so maybe we should try and arrange a joint NSW/VIC meeting at some point? 2008 TDV8, Stornoway Grey with Alpaca premium leather, Adaptive cruise, Adaptive Bi-xenons, sunroof, Premium Nav, Premium ICE Logic 7, telephone, active locking rear diff, console coolbox, seat memory, powerfold mirrors, tow pack, window tint, dual battery, engel fridge, Goodyear Mud-Terrain tyres.

Why don't I get it dirty?

Because I would have to spray more amorall under the wheel arches to make it clean and shiny again!

I have my RR Sport mainly for towing my 5m boat. I use it on dirt roads cruising the wineries of the Mornington Peninsula when I have business guests in town. It is a supremely comfortable and versatile vehicle and really economical as a daily driver.

I am afraid I'm not really into getting "muddied up" although the RRS is truly excellent on the non concrete wet sand boat ramp on the Tyrone foreshore.

I get my car cleaned in the City although if you give me the address, I might change!!! Rolling with laughter

Australia 2008 Range Rover Sport TDV8 HSE Stornoway Grey

I had my first opportunity to get the RRS dirty over the long weekend. We went camping with some friends up near Dungog and spent the weekend demonstrating to Toyota & Nissan drivers that the RRS is in fact a "real 4WD" that can outperform any of their jacked up LandPatrols even with standard road tyres.

It was really great to show them all a thing or two about what the RRS can do. I was one of the only cars not to get stuck going up a rather steep and well rutted climb. Everyone stopped giving me and my car stick after that one!! 2008 TDV8, Stornoway Grey with Alpaca premium leather, Adaptive cruise, Adaptive Bi-xenons, sunroof, Premium Nav, Premium ICE Logic 7, telephone, active locking rear diff, console coolbox, seat memory, powerfold mirrors, tow pack, window tint, dual battery, engel fridge, Goodyear Mud-Terrain tyres.

How about ...

At the moment the biggest vote is for a weekend with accommodation and some off road.. so let me know your preference in terms of region. So far it is

Moi and wife
2nd Rower
Tastetech
BKHK- depending on car washing assistants Wink
640 Newton
Ivery
Possibly WD (waiting for an email)

Anyone got any suggestions for a wine region with off-road nearby ?? Any preference for dates, it looks like early 2009, maybe a new year meet up ??

Cheers
