Choice between RRS HST 3.6D or BMW X5SD Sport (Both NEW)

Hi can anyone help with a bit of advice. I know it is not the best time to buy a NEW 4x4 but I am going to get one. I have narrowed the research down and I am torn between the RRS HST 3.6D with TV, DVD and side step in Storway Grey and the BMW X5 3.0 SD in the Blue Black with all the toys.

I have negotiated a 10% discount on the RRS and the cost difference between the 2 vehicles is negligable.

I tend to keep my cars for around 5 years and average around 20k a year.

What would you guy's go for?

Fpr gods sake don't buy an X6, f Censored g ugliest piece of s Censored t i've ever seen. The Infiniti FX50 is much better looking (But badge obviously not as 'Prestigious').

Buy the RRS, although there is no denying the X5, especially sd model is a great car but drive them back to back and see which is the finer diesel engine....... Whistle Runner up - 2009 Best Avatar Award Sad

That's the thing to do... drive both back to back and see which you prefer. TDV8 is MUCH sweeter than the BMW unit. The BMW probably edges it in the driving stakes, but will commit suicide the moment you wander off the tarmac of course Very Happy

My biggest regret in life is not getting a KIA SORENTO, it looks better, drives better and has a certain elegance......people will look at you in your KIA SORENTO and know you have made it.
