I'm not impressed with the N95. It doesn't do any more than the smart phones that have been available for some time. The only difference is that it has a 5M camera, whereas most smart phones are 2M.
I've just got a HTC TyTn this week and it does all that the N95 does, is almost the same size and it has a qwerty keyboard and touch screen.
My view is that a smart phone should have a touch screen, handwriting recognition and a qwerty keyboard. Otherwise functions such as email, messaging, internet, Word/Excel, calender etc are just too awkward to use with out these.
Nokia seem to concentrate too much on music playing. Nearly all phones with any storage capacity are MP3 players anyway.
Nice to see that the N95 has HSDPA (3.5G) anyway.
If anyone out there is looking for a smart phone, this site is very handy. You can waste an hour or so watch all the shows though.

1. Not forgetting that it has built in GPS

2. A 5mp camera with auto focus ! and Carl Zeiss lens

These are two things that I think I would use continuously, It is also lighter and slimmer than the N80 - with an improved talk & standby time.

The Nokia N95 is definately on T-Mobile as well (coming very soon) and I'm sure the other UK operators will be offering it. I don't know the contract/tariff details.

There are some new applications on the device, such as video download centre (for google video downloads, etc..), maps and navigation using the GPS and a great game called System Rush. They've improved some of the standard applications a little too (the OSS web browser, clock-alarm function and local search etc..)

One other thing regards the music capability of the N95 is that I've stopped using the ipod as I often forget it on the commute to work. I've got a 1G micro SD card in the N95 holding the mp3 tracks and I just plug it into the Aux socket in the RRS as it has a standard 3.5mm audio jack (can also be used to plug the N95 straight into a TV)

Beware though, the battery life is not fantastic (at least on my one), if you are not used to charging your phone once a day. Range Rover Sport TdV6HSE Bonatti Grey 20" FE Stormer wheels, Privacy Glass, Mats, Boot Mat, black badges, SC grille and vents

I work in the mobile telephone industry and am lucky enough to get early samples of some new phones by the major handset manufacturers... although haven't got an iPhone yet Smile Range Rover Sport TdV6HSE Bonatti Grey 20" FE Stormer wheels, Privacy Glass, Mats, Boot Mat, black badges, SC grille and vents

Thanks Jay for the pointing out the HTC Athena (Ameo on T-mobile). Not seen this one before. Looks just what I 'really' wanted...8GB micro drive, 640x480 5" touchscreen, WiFi, GPS etc etc. Even a built-in “G-sensor” will allow the user to scroll on-screen pages with hand gestures as well as save data if the device is dropped by accident. This is what I really needed for remote access into customer networks. Oh well, looks like I'll have to put my TyTn up for sale on eBay in a few months time.

Here's some pics of it next to my new TyTn http://www.pdaclub.pl/view.php?news_id=12389

Jay, it's 3G, but it is more than that as it is also HSDPA (some call this 3.5G). This is why I got the TyTn, as not many handsets are HSDPA ready. Matt
