Russia 2006 Range Rover Sport Supercharged Java Black

Having Vogue and RRS i can compare them...
FFRR S/C has the same power and dynamics as RRS (their weight difference is only 100kg (that is one man) ) in the straight line... Yes, RRS handles better, but still - it's not even close to the handling of X5 4.8iS, RRS is fat and heavy SUV anyway Sad And the interior.... FFRR has no doubt best interior: it's of better quality and materials (leather is better, everything is stiched leather including dash, armrests, doors etc), it has better seats (16-way regulated both front seats), it has more gadgets like several cameras, TV, mp3-song titles on the touchscreen, audio system is 200watt more powerfull. 2014 Mercedes-Benz S500

2006 Range Rover Sport Supercharged, Java Black, Ebony. Arden body-kit. SOLD

Confused Confused

Not sure the about the BMW 4.8is being a better handling vehicle Confused

Those of us on here who were fortunate enough to have experienced the "full on" test drive of the supercharged at Gaydon around their proving ground and track will know just what I mean - I think the BMW would come a lowly 2nd Rolling Eyes

BTW - I agree the FFRR is beautiful place to be sitting - esp the new 07 model year versions Thumbs Up

You'd need to get the same guy to throw the X5 around the same track and you'd be back to square one. It's the age old argument, BMW make cars that handle very well vs LR that makes that go offroad very well and never the twain shall meet. I was taken round Millbrook Alpine circuit in a Cayenne by a Porsche test driver. After I regained the power to walk Wink I was amazed how it was possible to throw an SUV around a track like that.

Onroad handling of BMW 4.8iS is best among SUVs of our time... There is now doubt about that, it feels like a sport-sedan when you drive, not like a TRUCK. But I must admit that it lacks almost any offroad abilities.
But still RRS is a great car wich I like and love... but I'm looking forward to new BMW X5 5.0iS 2008 (up to 450bhp without any superchargers or turbocharges) which should be a good vehicle. 2014 Mercedes-Benz S500

You've just got to look at what % residual of your original investment you get back when you sell it. RRS wins hands down!

As long as you like the connotations a RRS gives you - that slight gangster image. A 30 yr old would want a RRS, a FFRR is more of a gentlemans car.

Been round the track in many a car, including Gaydon in Jags, LR's and Aston. A decent racing driver has skills so far beyond the average road driver he can make any car seem brilliant. (had a Jaguar XJ seem like a Porsche round bruntingthorpe!) Usual training trick for car manufacturers, that they'll use on staff and lucky customers, but great fun all the same. You'd have to have the same test driver jump into the Beemer straight afterwards, and it'd probably win I'm afraid due to construction style & weight.

took a test drive in the FFRR TDV8 today Vogue then in the RRS.

The RRFF was amazing the trouble with the RRS the dash just reminds me of my D3. If I was to change it would have to be for the FFRR

The TDv8 FFRR is highly addictive.................. but sooooooooooo expensive!
4X4's that big and heavy should not be able to handle so well or travel so fast! 2020 Pangea Green 1st Edition D240 New Defender 110 is here and loving it
