RRS 2009 Headlight

The LHS headlight is not illuminating the road ahead, just 1-2 metres ahead of the vehicle. You can see that the "eyeball" is visibly drooping compared to the headlight unit on the RHS.
RHS is fine. I would assume it's something to do with the internal levelling motor or the linkage etc.

Has anyone on this forum ever attempted repairs, or can the leveling/adaptive mechanism even be accessed in the first place.

Are you talking dip or main beam?
I took mine out to change the main beam to HID and saw no leveling motor....is it not the whole car that keeps level .
Just take it out and have a look ..its only two levers to pull up no screws, Always listen to old people or when they die you will live on in ignorance.

If the vehicle has the AFS headlights fitted then there is an actuator because it steers the lights when cornering. There is a known failure mode on these where the light "droops".

A search on the forum should find a thread where a member managed to sort this issue without replacing the whole headlight unit. 2012 SDV6 - it's missing a couple of cylinders
2008 TDV8 - it was a labour of love and is much missed

I believe the headlamps work in conjunction with the height sensors and steering angle sensors.
