Thanks for all the input.
I found the suggested tyre pressures a little hard for even wear, and have settled in at about 32 front and 34 rear. with maybe 36 rear if loaded.

I have inspected all the bushes (with a prybar etc) and they are all centred and about the right amount of squashy.
They wouldn't have much effect on vertical movement anyway.

I don't have access to a adequate fault code reader yet, just the basic stuff. Gap coming soon. Haven't seen any warnings since I got it nearly a year ago.

Forgot to mention-
There aren't too many sports about here, so haven't managed to compare.
One slightly earlier vehicle I know of, which I guess would have damping somewhere in between hard and soft on the CVD.
Friend has a Disco3, which is a much nicer ride.

I tend to run 33 Front and 36 Rear for normal load and find it works fine for me personally, taking into account the pressure will go up slightly when tyres warmed up anyway.

Ok then. Tyres about as good as we can get, so back to the dampers Rolling Eyes

If they default to hard, is there a way of finding out whether they are still able to adjust to soft?

If one of the terrain settings gets soft damping, I suppose I could drive repeatedly over the same pothole or speedbump while changing the setting Laughing

I doubt a fault would be logged, as the system wouldn't be aware of a problem unless there was a break in continuity somewhere at or in a damper, in which case an error message would show on the dash?

If you were expecting Range Rover ride, you've come to the wrong place. The L320 RRS isn't a Range Rover other than in its badges. It's a Discovery with suspension tuned to be more capable across a fast road. Ergo, it has firmer damping.

Air suspension is known for having some harsh secondary ride characteristics and there's nothing that can be done about that. It's still more supple than a coil-sprung ground missile from the likes of the German marques. 2012 SDV6 - it's missing a couple of cylinders
2008 TDV8 - it was a labour of love and is much missed
