Condensation management- what do you do?

Yesterday it was 4 degrees round our parts and I had condensation on the inside of the front and rear windscreen. It cleared away once the car was warm, but do you get the same and do you use any sort of water absorption product. My car is in use nearly everyday. But what if its not........ 2006 2.7 TDV6 HSE in Cairns Blue.

Hi, I swap my cars around during summer and winter. When I lay up my summer car, I tend to place one of these inside to help stop the condensation:

I've used them for a few years now and have been successful.

Just remember to remove it before using the car.

Many thanks

I have a small de humidifier I use on my Jag xk8 does not seem to be a problem with the RRS.
does not work when its cold ..freezes up so I put it on a timer 45 min ON 15 off so the heat melts the condensate which has turned to ice. Always listen to old people or when they die you will live on in ignorance.

Dont spend money on old cars you will never get it back

Small dehumidifier packs that you can dry out in the microwave. More of a precaution to keep the boot side locker electrics dry Visitor from fullfatrr.com

Agreed re: checking for wetness somewhere. The only times I can think that I've had condensation inside is if I've put something wet in the boot - dog, bag of garden waste, etc. And it always clears within a day once it's driven any distance.

If the car is regularly/always condensing on the inside during cold weather, then you have something that is constantly wet inside it. 2012 SDV6 - it's missing a couple of cylinders
2008 TDV8 - it was a labour of love and is much missed

My RRS seams much better than all my other cars for not having condensation.
I'm not sure how it does it. Put the air intake flap to a certain position when parked I suspect. (closed).

Anyway I would suspect you have water in your floor, so have a look there

I had a thorough check of the car this evening in the last light of day. Everywhere was bone dry under the mats front and rear. The boot was bone dry and under the floor board. I can only put down to the wet Lab from yesterday's dog walk and him getting into the car for the trip home. I'll see in the morning to see what I get. 2006 2.7 TDV6 HSE in Cairns Blue.
