United Kingdom 2012 Range Rover Sport SDV6 HSE Orkney Grey

If something happens in front of you that is out of your control, then being able to slam the brakes on and stop sooner might be the difference between an injury/death and a good story in the pub later.

The only thing that connects car to tarmac is the tyres. Be that for braking or for turning - and swerving or braking in an emergency.

Seems to me that a handful of tenners saved putting tyres on a tens of thousands of pounds vehicle is a strange sense of economy. But you pay your money, and you make your choice. 2012 SDV6 - it's missing a couple of cylinders
2008 TDV8 - it was a labour of love and is much missed

United Kingdom 2010 Range Rover Sport TDV8 HSE Santorini Black

My dad had been rear ended twice, and that was the reason his insurance doubled, and, as I knew he had become a dawdler and less aware of those around him, suggested it was time he gave up driving.

Being hit up the rear is not always a blameless accident, we've all had a narrow escape when someone infront pulls away only to change their mind and stop on a sixpence, haven't we?

So using that as an example of 'how good you are' cannot be given any credibility.
