Have been a lurker here for some time and have massive respect for the knowledge and assistance shared for these brilliant/challenging machines.

I wonder if anyone can help me.
Problem occurred once 2 weeks ago and daily for last week while it's been super hot. I've been on hols and been trying to manage via the dogsitter who doesn't do cars. Not ideal. Got back last night.

When parked and locked and outside temp rises, the alarm goes off and says the boot is open. It's not.
Also noticed the yellow reversing lines on the camera are missing

When it cools down in the evening - car will lock and alarm up no problem!
Issue is that car won't lock when it thinks the boot is open - so car parked on drive unlocked
Just hope the scrotes are in the pub garden whilst it's hot although that's possibly not a robust security strategy.

I don't have a code reader but use a great indie - JD Automotive in Northwich - so may try and run it down to him whilst the problem is present?

I've looked for a boot switch but nothing visible - any clues or advice on where to look?

Well, it turned out to be the boot latch.
Indie cleared the codes for me and suggested it was the boot latch which has 2 micro switches to advise tailgate status.
quick fix 20 minutes or so. ordered from Advance Factors, next day, sorted!
