Dealer Stickers

We had a discussion about why people debadge their cars but I want to know why owners keep the stickers with their dealers details stuck on the back window? This sticker is always removed when I first get a car, 2005 Zambezi TDV6 - Gone but not forgotten

This was the first thing I did when I collected my car, In fact when the car went back to the dealer he asked had I took it out. My reply was, I would not like to reccomend your service to anybody let alone recommend them to buy from you and if we had a dealer that was easier for me to get to I would use them. Its out there somewhere. Second V10 Treg on the drive at the moment.

When I bought my previous car I told the dealer that if a sticker was in the back window I would not accept it. When I arrived to pick it up the sticker was there, so I refused to accept the car until I saw the salesman remove it. Petty I know but why should I advertise a dealer who would not give me any deals on a new car? 2005 Zambezi TDV6 - Gone but not forgotten

2013 Range Rover Sport SDV6 HSE Stornoway Grey

The local dealer no longer puts stickers on the rear window, it saves them a few pence I suppose............... their ad is now on the numberplates as they make up their own. The other thing a lot of Land Rover dealers do on cars with the spare hung on the rear door is to supply you with a spare wheel cover with their logo on it. Unfortunately for them on the day I picked up my Defender they didn't have any logo'd covers in the right size so I got plain one!
I have been asked by several people abroad who saw my Morrison's logo'd spare wheel cover if I could get one for them (two covers are now advertising Morrsion's Land Rover Stirling in the USA, one in Washington State and the other in North Carolina!!)

2020 Pangea Green 1st Edition D240 New Defender 110 is here and loving it
2018 Melting Silver Mini Countryman PHEV - soon to be replaced
2015MY Corris Grey SDv6 HSE Dynamic, the best car I have ever owned, totally reliable only a cou0le of rattles in 3 years, now no longer in my care
Also in my garage is a 1996 TDi300 Defender 90 County HT made into a fake CSW

I haven't taken my dealer sticker out, basically because you can't see it through the privacy glass. It does irk me about the massive dealer splash you find on the spare wheel cover of other LRs though, especially what with most dealers (of any marque, not just LR) providing substandard service.
