2005 L320 Headlight flickers then goes out

Hi,

Not sure how to explain. When I turn on the car, the LH headlight (headlamp for you brits!) turns on - albeit a different color to the RH one - and then often it will rapidly flicker and turn off. Seems to work again when you turn the car off and restart it, but then the light does it again.

It started doing it very intermittently a week or two ago, but now seems consistent.

Could this be bulb or ignitor or something else? I'm thinking I might swap those parts one by one to the RH unit to see if the issue follows one of them.

Has anyone seen this before? Every home should have one!

If the bulb is showing a different colour I would suspect the bulb maybe is on its last legs, initialy I would just swap the bulbs to see if it proved anything.
