Wi-Fi Enabled with Data Plan

Hi Guys,

I have this in my car and am not sure of the real benefit. Can someone help explain the value, please?

Isn't it like your car becomes a mobile wifi hotspot for all the personal devices inside the car?
I have such thing in my VW and find it quite useful in Switzerland, as data roaming there is prohibitively expensive, so the car works for internet access when the passengers are bored. Otherwise it's not of much use except for areas with poor coverage (it will select the best network, as it is able to roam between domestic networks IIRC), since all my devices are faster on their own than with what the car manufacturer provided (5G beats 4G etc). Regards etc.,

Thanks... Do you still receive over the air updates without the wi-fi package?

OTA is a different thing, this package enables the wifi access point so should not affect OTA ability. Regards etc.,

Does it have full roaming around Europe included? MY16 3.0 SDV6 Autobiography in Aleutian silver, stealth pack and toys.

It has, flat rate even when not in the EU, therefore in Switzerland, Turkey, Albania or Montenegro it is way cheaper to use it to access the internet than on individual phones. Regards etc.,

We have it and it is great if you have kids. No need to mess about tethering etc. their tablets will auto connect to the internet when in the car.
Passengers can use wifi too on laptops, phones, etc.
I think it is a great feature.
