Well insurers paid out - list price of a new RRS per the configurator, although as you’ll all know there’s no more ordering a RRS these days.

I found a couple of RRS’s that are already ordered but not yet sold, but the specs are poor on them, probably due to the shortage of semi-conductors for the tech bits. So… its off to BMW for me.

It should work with Ghost as you can deactivate via Ghost app. But some say if you have app it can be hacked so I def dont use Ghost app RRS HSE DYNAMIC 2015 ODESSEY RED

Remote start doesn't work with Ghost unless you use the app, not sure the app is hacked its just that if your phone is within range Ghost is disabled.

I dont use the app, but my red line would be waking up and the car was being pre-heated on someone else's drive

My since sold SVR allowed for remote start via the InControl app with a ghost fitted. The installer I had do it said there had been “a way” to fit the device been developed to allow for this very scenario.

The car could be started without the code needing to be entered, but without it the car couldn’t be engaged into forward or reverse and would automatically be put back into park.

Suggest if you have a ghost fitted and can’t use the remote start function that you speak to your installer.

You are correct, there is an option to either have Engine block or Transmission block.
I heard that the Transmission block was having some sort of problems with JLR customers so I opted for Engine block.

I had a ghost 2 fitted to my 21.5MY p400e and was told on the day of install that remore star wouldn't work to pre heat cabin etc. They were right with the ICE but can happily use the electric battery to pre heat.
