On the 2015 / 2016 RRS TDV6 there is an exhaust pressure control valve about half way along the exhaust.

It seems to restrict the exhaust flow to speed up engine warming when cold.

On my friends car this makes a very audible rattle when the engine is rev'd. You can hear it in the car when driving.

The part is apparently £1200 alone !!

Anyone else come across a noise from this ?

Any cheaper fixes?

Seems like you can't buy the valve alone but need to buy the whole central exhaust system
