Land Rover is changing the way front PDC sensors work. The "enhancement" - sounds more like "crippling" to me... - is best explained through their new TSB below (I got this from their NA tech site, but I assume it is a worldwide mod.) As you can see, you can get existing PDC modules modified - if the beeping bothers you.
