Isle Of Man 2006 Range Rover Sport TDV6 HSE Java Black
BT Phone

Hi

I have just had the BT phone retrofit option installed in my 2006 RR sport, it all works well except for the following:-
1. When you turn the ignition on the voice control turns on and asks for instructions (not pressed the voice button)
2. The sat nav no longer shows the "I Agree" screen, not sure if its turning off with the ignition
3. The Park Brake light on the dash does not go off until 10mins after the ignition is turned off

Any thoughts would be appreciated.. if not its off to the dealer AGAIN

thanks

Interested about the sat nav screen! Does Sat Nav still work properly? 2005 Zambezi TDV6 - Gone but not forgotten

Nikster, so the satnav doesn't "power up" when you put the key in the ignition? Do you get the Land Rover logo at all when you restart, or does the monitor go right back to the last screen you were on before shutting down the engine?

I'm assuming this is not normal, as this behavior would imply the computer is still running in the background and may be draining your battery. But if it is normal, it would be cool! I'd love to get rid of that silly "lawyer" nag screen every time I start the car, and I bet the 1791 hack would probably stick in your car, too. Let us know what the dealer has to say about that.

Regarding # 3, I can't be certain but I think the park brake light stays on in all our cars for several minutes after turning off the engine as well. This may be normal.

Aye, mine too. Interesting side effects though Nikster. I think it's probably a trip to the dealer for you.

Bring it back. I had the BT retrofit and none of these symptoms manifested themselves. it sounds to me like they miswired something. Voice control should only sing out after you press the button. I am not so keen on the wheel mounted buttons, I suspect they stick or lock up sometimes.

anyway, bring it back, they cocked it up so they should fix it RRS TDV6 (gone)
RRS TDV8 HSE(gone, burned out)

Well it’s fixed, a well documented and know error ref bulletin no. LS417-001.

Pity I had to push them in to a corner to fix the problem. The fact that he snapped two of the fixing clips from the interior trim is as to be expected really.

Thanks N.
