I have HUD and don't use, also I can hear the fan that cools the HUD unit and this also annoys me. HUD IMO is something that does not add driving pleasure. M16 SVD8 ,4.4 HSE with a few extras, Sold R50 , Wife SQ5 , BMW R1200GSW. |

I thought it was a load issue for the tyres. 2012 SDV6 - it's missing a couple of cylinders 2008 TDV8 - it was a labour of love and is much missed |

My wife hates HUD and turns it off. I quite like it but I wouldn't pay £200 for it, never mind £1000+. And I wouldn't normally buy the solar windscreen need either. RRS MY17 SDV6 AB

Chap above is saying the new variant of HUD is much improved but having not seen either in a RRS I can't really comment! What is the solar attenuating windscreen about? Does it cut out UV rays or reduce glare? |

I have the 5+2 seating option and my kids are aged 3 and 5. The default family car is my wife's, however when I need to take the little ones they go straight in the third row and it saves me moving child seats between cars which is a huge bonus. We wouldn't use them on a long journey but if you have children of the right age they are a great option to have.

Having said that my car lives at the local dealership so I haven't had much opportunity to use them.

I love the HUD. Would be the first option on my list any day of the week now. The solar attenuating windscreen is metalized to reflect IR radiation from the sun. Because of the film it enhances with reflection of the HUD and needs to be specified with it. |

Cheers for the information, I guess any pre-owned would (by default) have been specified as such? |
