2006 Inconsistent Cruise Control

Every so often the cruise control won't work and there seems to be no pattern to this but when you. Is this a known common fault?

Doesn't work under 20mph, which is a pain for the Rotherhithe Tunnel and I would not say it was particularly good anyway. Sometimes it stays at the posted speed, other times it drops off, then works out its slow and speeds up again and then proceeds to exceed the posted speed Rolling Eyes Its not capable of working out when it is or isn't under load I think.

OTOH I had a manual diesel 2.4 Volvo XC70 and you could post a speed and within 1mph either way, it would stick to it - M11 between J8&9 was a good test with all those long hills.

I've been tracking when it does and doesn't work and it appears to be when it has or is raining. Are any of the sensors under the bonnet or wheel arches?

I have the same issue, sometimes it doesn't work, sometimes it does. I believe there's a common problem with a loom in the steering wheel! 2006 Java Black HST Supercharged

Correct Thumbs Up check for broken wires or loose connection and the clock spring.
