New business idea stolen from Australia, private buyers can get finance ??? You can finance a private buy in Australia.

You could do that in the UK up until about 2010, then after the credit crunch the products were withdrawn due to being high risk. I financed several private purchase cars using brokers. SOLD - MY16 SDV6 Autobiography Dynamic - Fire Engine Red, Fixed contrast pan roof, TV, Dual Screen, 5+2, Privacy, Noble paddles.

Seems like the UK banks and lenders really know how to screw their customers. Your current BOE rate is .25% ours 1.5% we can borrow for motor vehicles from 4.5% up to about 7% if you are a reasonable risk. I did my RRS at 4.5% . dealer finance is usually the most expensive and all sellers of finance get a commission I deal direct with the institution which allows me to get the commission taken off the rate. Since your lenders only pay 1/4 percent for their money your rates should be far less then ours. M16 SVD8 ,4.4 HSE with a few extras, Sold R50 , Wife SQ5 , BMW R1200GSW.

The 3.9% at NatWest is max £25k and it's straight HP not 'dealer finance' PCP/LP. SOLD - MY16 SDV6 Autobiography Dynamic - Fire Engine Red, Fixed contrast pan roof, TV, Dual Screen, 5+2, Privacy, Noble paddles.

Limit is £60k. I too was going down this route until right at the last minute (the morning of me picking up the car!) JLR finance matched the rates! Smile SOLD - MY16 SDV6 Autobiography Dynamic - Fire Engine Red, Fixed contrast pan roof, TV, Dual Screen, 5+2, Privacy, Noble paddles.

Problem is that JLR can only shift one model of Jag - the F Pace, only business buyers are buying XF's and XE's and they are not easy to shift either, so that is where the low finance rates are going - LR can sell every car that comes off the production line (if it isn't sold before hand!) Take a look on the Jaguar Used Vehicle selector and see how many "used" Jaguars there are with minute miles on them for sale at huge discounts............... why should JLR offer competitive finance on Land Rover products if they can sell cars easily with unattractive rates? 2020 Pangea Green 1st Edition D240 New Defender 110 is here and loving it

Because they are a customer-focused company that wouldn't dream of ripping off its customers by charging high rates of interest? Whistle

It's not Land Rover.
No dealer is a Land Rover owned dealer.
Tory are all franchises and as such can decide their profit/loss breaks.

As the majority of UK dealers are owned by 5 companies, they do dictate the prices Just bought a RRS 06 MY HSE TDV6 136,000 miles, to be a second car to my bland, boring Mitsubishi Outlander 68 plate 2.0 petrol 4

Very true, the wheels have come off a Jag and they have gone off on the wrong path (following the path on MB, just as MB decide to go the way of 'old' Jaguar). The F-Pace is going to get a kicking as well when the Velar arrives, proper interior compared to the low rent ones of TATA's F-Pace, XE & XF, models...still the dealer can choose the finance rate and in my case my dealer didn't even bother to compete although judging the other forum poster, they could have matched it. So why lose out on the business? Gone:
