Quick question

Hi all new to the forum wanted to ask some advice I'm looking at 07 RRS 2.7 HSE £9760 with 103k I've owned a couple of full fats over the last 5 years been on a drive today very impressed with the drive any thoughts ??

What service history does it have?

Any fault codes on the dashboard?

Did the aur suspension work in all heights and between the hieghts?

When was timing belt changed? Just bought a RRS 06 MY HSE TDV6 136,000 miles, to be a second car to my bland, boring Mitsubishi Outlander 68 plate 2.0 petrol 4

Full service history no warning on dash board every button works but didn't know had a belt thought it was chain driven thanks for informing me

On 2007 it is vital the oil pump is changed at the same time as the belt.

I doubt the belts have been done

Belts on the 2.7 are at 105k miles OR 7 years, whichever comes first. Most people seem to go on mileage rather than the OR bit so safest is to assume the belts haven't been done. As said already, when doing the belts on that year, the oil pump should be changed to the stronger casting version. LR changed to a weaker casting for a little while around 2007 and these often fail after the belts have been changed. Failure is obviously "a very bad thing".

Was the EPB a quiet operation or did it make squealing noises? Did the low/high range change occur almost silently? There should be a couple of clicks audible with the door open but that's it.

Is the service history just a few stamps in the book or did they have a receipt history? Any suspension work done? I'd have expected some bushes to have been replaced by 100k miles or there will be some evidence of wear e.g. clunks.

Is this a dealer or private sale? At least with a dealer they have to put things right in the immediate period after the sale. Don't be fobbed off with a "warranty" that will probably refuse stuff being done anyway. 2012 SDV6 - it's missing a couple of cylinders
2008 TDV8 - it was a labour of love and is much missed
