Hard Sell

Went to the dealer yesterday to view my new car a L494 63 plate, after we had finished the business manager introduced himself and proceeded to cover the topics of GAP, Minor repair damage and Tyre and Wheel insurance. I'm sure, if I want it, I could get GAP at a better deal privately but has anyone had experience of the the other two.
Minor Damage repair he quoted at £299 for 2 years and £399 for 3 and Tyre and Wheel £399 for 2 and £499 for 3, I must say I'm tempted to ignore all and just pay if I need to. Hey Ho Whistle

For these sorts of sums, I tend to agree. I would self insure (pay when you NEED to) if I were you too.

Its all a bit of "what if "isn't it, on reflection if I had had Tyre's and wheels covered on my old one I would have been quids in. Oh dear decision time looming. Confused

I had just been throught the same which is probely done by most dealers business person justifying there job to cover the hard sell away from the salesmpersom so you dont think its another sell from the person who has already sold you the car. 2 years ago I bought the tyre and wheel dealas bofore the car I was going to trade I had hit 2 wheels and cost me £60 each to repair so I thought get the package incase it happened again but 15 months later change the Discovery Sport and guess what not a mark on the wheels .

This time I refused all the deals and will hope for the best Thumbs Up
