just a quick comment on the new server - I know you were looking for a dedicated server to dedicate bandwidth to your sites, however keep in mind there are some advantages of shared servers - and that is more site owners are watching when the server goes down and the provider/webmaster will prioritise a shared server over a dedicated one when he gets hit by 50 e-mails.
