Turbo Cleaner / Fuel Additive.

Hi Lads
Due to the ongoing saga with my Engine fault and suspect Turbo fault.

I was pricing other parts in Dingbro today and happened to ask about a Turbo Cleaner / Fuel Additive ,they said they had Forte Turbo cleaner which is added to the fuel. Innotec three step Turbo Cleaner which appears to consist of a Strong cleaner then a Neutralizer for the cleaner and then a Fuel additive ,but I think you have to access into the turbo itself and they also had Wynns which sprayed into the intake hose.

I have always been wary of using these and wondered if anyone had any experience if they were worth a try or not. I am going to try another go at the Actuator and run V power diesel for a bit ,but I thought I would explore every avenue.

Not used any of the above but have used one called Revive which sprays in the inlet after the maf unit as you don't want to soak that. You spray it in to the inlet in 3 stages at different rpm range and then go for a brisk drive for 20-30 minutes. I've used it on my van and seen cars that have been said to require a new turbo run perfect after treatment.

If you enter Revive turbo cleaner on YouTube their are a few videos explaining what it does and how it works. 2017 SVR. SVO Scafell grey Ebony interior

I know it doesn't apply 100% but dpf cleaner has been proven to work and not simply snake oil.

It lowers the burning point for the carbon+deposits, it may be worth trying that as well as the other cleaner.

Never tried it, but I always hear good things about Revive Turbo/Engine Cleaner.

Re Turbo Cleaner

Hi Lads

Thanks again for the replies, again very much appreciated. I popped in to my MOT station today and it turns out they have Revive cleaner, They gave me away a bottle of the cleaner along with the Sprayer and a leaflet.

They had a lot of praise for it so now its left with me if I want to go ahead with it or not, they also recommended the Forte Turbo cleaner which is added to your fuel.

Will mull it over for a bit until my next days off and try to decide whether to go ahead with it or not.

Cheers Jock Thumbs Up
