Bought a Fiesta 1300S when I was at college - looked great Cool

Rolling with laughter

I got a puncture one day and lifted the boot floor to get the spare and all I found was a great big big hole - completely rusted away and no spare wheel Shocked

We had a choice Wednesday pm of PE or use of college workshop so I used the time to patch it up and sold it PDQ - I spent a lot of Wednesday pms patching up my vehicles back then - the lecturer was kept busy demonstrating welding etc Laughing Wanted a Series 2 LR since childhood but previously owned MY16 Disco Sport HSE TD4 Auto, MY13 RR Sport Black Edition TDV6 Auto, MY10 RR Sport HSE TDV6 Auto, 2007 Freelander 1 Freestyle TD4 Soft Top, 2009 Freelander 2 GS TD4 Auto, 2007 Freelander 2 GS TD4, 2004 Disco 2 Metropolis Auto, 2002 Disco 2 GS, 2000 Freelander 1 SE TD4 SW

Unlike me, the OP is probably too polite to complain about this mother of all hijacks Laughing

It's the versatility of the RRS that makes it so hard to settle for anything else. Extremely comfortable for long journeys, truly sporty when you want to play and so capable in difficult conditions. Current: Volvo XC90 T8 Inscription Pro PHEV with some optionals on top
Gone: MY16 RRS2 3.0 SDV6 Autobiography Dynamic, Carpathian Grey & Santorini Black Sliding Pano/Ebony & Ivory 2 Tone
Gone: MY13 RRS 3.0 SDV6 HSE Black Edition, Orkney Grey/Ivory
Gone: MY09 RRS 2.7 TDV6 HSE, Santorini Black/Almond

You could have slipped line in or even a word in about the Float. Rolling with laughter In Spain - 2018 F Pace - Frightened away from the Sports due to crank failures
Gone - A couple of RRS, A couple of Disco's. However thinking of another Sport.

I had a modified Rover 820 fastback that used to eat Astra GTE's and the like for breakfast............... looked plain Jane outside but what a difference it made having a supercharger bolted to it. Boy racers couldn't believe it that they had problems keeping up with with a Rover 820!

I had the 820 turbo, what a beast. The turbo would kick in halfway round the roundabout and go off line a rocket.

One night I did reading to cioventry in just over an hour. Total beast

Then I had a Toyota carina GTi one of the 500 built with the MR2 engine for the touring cars, rotational Yokohama, lasted 5,000 miles at a pinch, the Sod could spin its wheels in third going down onto the motorways. I had it debadged, you could only see by the twin single exhausts..

I was in Lancashire the other month and stretched the old girls legs on the A6 from Kendal to Shap. Amazing stretch of road, it was the main road to Carlisle and beyond once-upon-a-time, it's since been by-passed by the M6 and as such is largely abandoned. But as it was a main road the tarmac is of a good quality, the road is wide with plenty of room to maneuvre, big sweeping bends and undulating hills, all topped off with some pretty striking scenery.

Highly recommended road if you're in the area Thumbs Up

Never do that on a Sunday though, the local plod are out as bikers use that road a lot on Sundays 07,TDV8,Black, Black Heated leather all round, Rear Entertainment with Headpones & Remote, TV, DVD, Pure Dab Digital Radio, Sidesteps, Adaptive Headlights, sunroof, now working fuel burning heater Smile)))

Back in the 80s when I still lived in Blighty I had a white UR Quattro with the digital dash. I wish I had never sold it.
