Rattle in 1st - like going over cattle grid

Hi need advise please....day 2 of owning a RRS 2.7 HSE 2007, 85k clear MOT 2 days ago and seems to drive really well except when accelerating in 1st (auto) when I experience a light judder for a second...feels like I'm driving over a cattle grid...any ideas please.....should I be worried as this is my first RR.

Remember, the Sport does not use first when in Auto, the car stats in 2nd. Thumbs Up

Maybe worth giving one of the Mobile specialists a shout, Have a look for Geoff on the sister site Disco 3/4 In Spain - 2018 F Pace - Frightened away from the Sports due to crank failures
Gone - A couple of RRS, A couple of Disco's. However thinking of another Sport.

Isn't that supercharged models?

I must experiment sometime.

Per rob, stick it into rovertune. They'll sort it. Do you have a warranty? Could be start of a prop shaft going as is similar to my issues (equally may not be). 2010 TDV8

As I bought this from a garage who gave me 3 months warranty....should this be something they would cover...it was only a small garage but had good reviews. Would you expect the torque converter or gea box to start going after only 85k (yep I understand it's a RRS and anything can happen!!)....

Yes definitely back to garage irrespective of warranty they should be sorting it out, on a 2007 you need to make sure oil pump was changed same time as cambelt or you could easily be in line for a new engine when it lets go. Nanocom Evo

As I thought....oil pump? I assume that's in the schedule....it's had a 95k service and cambelt changed....

It's not on the service schedule and Landrover don't even acknowledge its an issue but have a read of this vehicle s that have had the cambelt changed but not the oil pump seem to be higher risk

My SC usually sets off in first when started in a morning, but if I pull up to lights etc. then it will pull away in second (unless gunned).

I've had a 2.7 RRS HSE, 2006 and not long after I bought it I heard an unusual sound from what I suspected was the gearbox. More noticeable when travelling with the passenger window down and the noise bouncing off a wall. I took it to the dealership I bought it from, they had it 2 weeks and then had the car returned with a clean bill of health but the noise still there!!!! I also noticed it in a friends 2.7 RRS as well!!!!!! Could it just be a trait of the car especially the 2.7 Diesel Whistle Whistle
It was like a chain dragging along the floor or cattle grid noise but in all gears. Never did get to the bottom of it but did change dealerships with the purchase of my next 3!!!
4.2 sc and 5.0 sc RRS and they both used to start off in second in Auto, you had to pull on the paddle shift to make them start off in 1st. but no repeat of this noise in either of them.
