Loving the car so far does around 10mpg around town and 16mpg on a country run.

Which is about half what I got out of the SDV6 and I am having a play with the throttle because that noise Very Happy

Not sure how to keep it clean the rear of the car is terrible anyone found a solution for that the rest of the car doesn't get anywhere near as dirty as the boot area.

Very nice.

What has replaced the front seat heat button on the dash, or is this now blank? Shame if so.

I have a blank so presume that's how it is, I did ask what 'goes' there that I missed, now I have the answer I guess!

Not quite. It actually beeps if the system thinks you'll hit an object in front without braking harder. If you'd thought you'd hit an object in front without braking harder, you'd have braked harder. And then it wouldn't have beeped. But, because you hadn't thought you'd hit an object in front without braking harder, it did beep.

Which begs the question, are you alright now? Out of hospital? Rolling with laughter

Robert

Edit: haven't got used to this yet. Wrong quote! should have been 'Forward Alert (beeps if you think you'll hit an object in front without braking harder).'

Lots of dirt on it today upto 190 miles the rear end is like a magnet for dirt but it doesn't show up as easily as white. A couple more photoes of M17 updates.

Awesome, I assume I need the sim installed to get the satellite image? I went to dealer today and asked how to just display my radio stations on the central screen so I can just choose between them, err you can't! Using the map as well, you can't have them showing as a split screen, only a compass or traffic info, very poor IMO.

Probably a simpleton question for you, when selecting Drive/Reverse etc with no music on etc can hear the gearbox 'noise', if so how would you describe the noise?! Cheers

Yes I have a 3 sim in it its used about 800mb but I suspect most of that was ipad usage for about 30 mins streaming. You cant break the usage down so you don't know what's using what unless you keep a track of it before or after you use a feature.

As for noise I cant say ive heard much. Sometimes you will get a small thud feeling when going slowly when the engine brakes upto a roundabout is the only way to describe that but its more a feeling than a noise.

Also when you select reverse or drive and the car has lowered or is held by the gearbox there is a small thud as it engages but otherwise I cant say I can hear it at all.

I have had the exhaust turned on most of the time though.

How are you seeing fuel economy ? I'm seeing 8 - 9 mpg in town in traffic and about 18 mpg on a country road run at the moment.

Compared to my SDV6 on the same journey was 15 mpg and 26 - 30 mpg although I am driving it much harder than the SDV6. I find myself driving slowly on roads just to accelerate upto the speed limit again Rolling with laughter

I bet your neighbours are "delighted" with the early morning start up rumble................ Mr. Green I had a V8 F Type for a weekend rental last summer and my neighbours loved the car but not what they commented on was an antisocial exhaust noise which made me check that I had the switch in the quiet mode, which it was. Lordy they are lucky I didn't have to leave home at 0600 each morning to go to work while I had the car! 2020 Pangea Green 1st Edition D240 New Defender 110 is here and loving it

Excellent, if that's the same one I've just ordered via the relative thread (24gb over 12 months) then great...

Mpg wise I'm clearly lighter footed than you, ha ha. The lowest I've seen via the incontrol remote journey check is 14.8 over a 2 mile journey, the highest 23.7 which was my 20 odd mile commute. I'm really pleased to be honest, it's similar to my gtr, or a little better this far. I'm sure once I get a few more miles on it and little more enthusiastic it will drop!

Perhaps I was a little vague re the gearbox noise. It's only when stationary and foot on the brake. It's also quite hard to hear when starting from cold and the resulting higher revs/cabin noise. So, the best way to describe it its 'whir' as it finds the gear, D or R. I nearly used the word grind but that is too harsh. Akin to a whir you may get with a manual car not having the clutch depressed 100% but quieter? But, it's a definitely audible but not loud obviously. I will try it with the door open and see how it is from the outside. Fortunately someone I know has a 2015 SVR so I will nip round and compare theirs, just thought I'd throw it out there!

ICTP has frustrated me somewhat, the interface/display options are poor. Aside from my lack of favourite/preset display issue, having got Spotify up and running via Apps I've found another annoyance. If you select and album it just plays, you can't view/select a particular song?! You have to hit next until you reach the desired song? Unless I'm being an egit of course?! I'm waiting for the barrage of 'enjoy the car sound' etc but I want it all!!. Thumbs Up
