Disco5 off-roading in Arizona

Just remember - the sun always shines in Arizona and in the UK this might be a wee bit more technical in the rain and an RRS2 and probably RRS1 with e-diff would handle this as easily.

 2015MY Corris Grey SDv6 HSE Dynamic, preceeded by a 2.7SE RRS, a 3.6TDv8 RRS, several FFRR's and 2 Evoques.
Also in my garage is a 1996 TDi300 Defender 90 County HT made into a fake CSW.... my fun car to enjoy bashing and denting 20 years old and still giving loads of fun

RRS1 might struggle with ground clearance a touch. The D5 and RRS2 have more clearance as standard. Other than that, agreed. 2012 SDV6

Even then I think Chris, although not entirely sure. Either way, the D5 driver doesn't need an IID to get big clearances... Thumbs Up 2012 SDV6

226mm Vs 283mm for Disco 5. Add another 50mm to the 226mm on the iid and your not far off on ground clearance. If you then factor a bit more in for the rolling radius of a 55 profile A/T tyre and I would say your about there Whistle Thumbs Up 2003 BMW M5 - 5 Litres of V8 Optimax Slurping Goodness in Carbon Black

Maybe be we need a forum outing to try out a comparison - standard RRS v iiD upgrade v L494 standard?

I know some lovely forest drives on the West Coast of Scotland where we could do one, but getting the land owner's permission would be a problem - Forest Enterprise (old Forestry Commission) up here is getting very risk averse to having what they classify as Motorsport in their forests after some headline grabbing deaths on various rallies in the last couple of years unfortunately 2015MY Corris Grey SDv6 HSE Dynamic, preceeded by a 2.7SE RRS, a 3.6TDv8 RRS, several FFRR's and 2 Evoques.
