United Kingdom 2008 Range Rover Sport TDV8 HST Stornoway Grey

Belated Update!
Well I looked at the vehicle on Thursday and bought it!!! so I'm now the owner of a RRS TDV8 HST,
Unfortunately within a day of ownership the suspension light + Normal driving height only warning has come up!
I think this is due to me Censored around with it at the dealers? So its back with the dealers and supposedly
going into a specialist indies!
First impressions very comfy and smooth and has some great feature, soft close tailgate, programmable key on so on
It needs a little tiding but nothing major needs some mats that's for sure.
I have managed to connect an iPhone7 for phone only and was amazed that there is no BT Audio just an Aux port?
is that correct?
So all in all some good an some bad I think I will feel a little happier once I have it back and the suspension issue
has been resolved!

Danny.

Hello, I've just bought one - thought I'd say hi quick!

New to RRS. Always been a Merc fan, previous was E350 cab.
In October chopped her in for a 16 RRS Dynamic, Fuji white with black pan roof, yep typical Essex girly one, but I like it. Interior all ebony, heated steering wheel, had to add deployable steps! Really like the black details compared to the silver.
Very different car to what I'm used to, usually go for the low, sporty, fast Mercedes. Just thought I'd have a go at this for a few years, see how I get on...
Was going to order brand new one and wait til March but I couldn't wait, plus just kept adding to it!! Was getting out of control.
Really like mine, really comfy smooth ride, only thing I'd say is that I'm not 100% confident driving it because I'm over cautious of hitting either oncoming traffic or driving into the hedge row or outer curbs!! I sit quite tense and as high as I can so I can see all around me, I'm sure I will relax and get used to it, I hope!
I'm quite a perfectionist, with previous cars any little scratch or scuff she would be in the garage having the best treatment.
Anyway as I was saying really comfy, always get compliments, only thing I'm not sure how to use is how to make steps stay out for car wash. And only negative about the car is the slow responding computer, but I don't really need to use it.

Any other little hidden tips or tricks in this car u can recommend fire away. Very Happy

Thanks,
Antonia.

Scotland 2008 Range Rover Sport TDV8 HSE Java Black
New 2008 TDV8 RRS Owner...

Evening all,

As of Thursday last week I finally managed to get the deal I wanted and swapped my 2013 FL2 for the mighty RRS TDV8 (2008)... very impressed so far and handles a lot better than my previous 64 plate Disco 4.

Other than a balance issue on the front wheels (now sorted) she is sweet as a nut... long may it continue !

My only slight gripe is the lack of USB port and if anyone has any suggestions (have seen an ACM unit but not sure if this is only for older ipods/iphones) on how best to get connectivity then I'd be most appreciative.

Cheers

Hi Antonia,
If you look in the forum under section General, L494, deployable side steps, how to keep deployed, there are a couple of ways to do it. You can also use the search section at the top and put in Deployable side steps and that should get you there. Hope this helps you out Thumbs Up

United Kingdom 2009 Range Rover Sport TDV8 Autobiography Java Black
Hello from a new owner

Hi,
Just got my first RR yesterday, swapped my Jag XF and my L200 in for it. Its a 2009 Sport 3.6V8 Autobiograpy.

Only driven it home from dealer but it was nice.
Just disappointed in the radio as I'm used to a full touch screen in the jag.

May be one of the first things i do is to swap that out but got to work out what type of amp i have.

Cheers
Steve

United Kingdom 2008 Range Rover Sport TDV6 HSE Zermatt Silver

Hi all. Just a quick introduction as i've purchased my first RRS. Its a 2008 2.7 HSE in silver. So far its proving to be a great car. Obviously at nearly 8 years old and 80k it has a couple of cosmetic issues i'll need to resolve overtime. Looking forward to see what it tows like. Will be using the forum to gain knowledge and if i can pass some on as i learn.

Hello Overfinch ash,
There was someone on the forum earlier today looking for four centre caps for his Overfinch wheels.

I am of the same view as Tim, worth going to Overfinch and getting them from there. As I said to the other member, if a job is worth doing do it properly Thumbs Up
Good luck.

Hi

Really excited to have found the site. I am moving from a Discovery 4 to RRS, just need to find a Corris Grey HSE Dynamic, 7 seat, Panoramic roof with less than 20000miles on it!
